FAQ’s
What is vaginal steaming?
A traditional form of self care where one sits or kneels over a warm pot of boiled water, gently exposing the entire pelvic region to the rising steam. To enhance the effect of vaginal steaming, herbs may be infused in the water to give the steam added therapeutic properties. Vaginal steaming is known by many traditions as yoni steaming, v-steaming, chai-yok, bajos and womb therapy.
How do vaginal steams work?
Exposure to heat from the steam increases circulation to the exposed area to help improve the overall function of the female reproductive system.
How is a vaginal steam done?
A personalized steam plan, including herb selection and set up, will be determined by Abigail, a certified steam facilitator. A woman will relax on one of her sanitized vaginal steam chairs, sitting between 10-30 minutes. During a vaginal steam, a woman will be in an enclosed room, either alone or with Abigail in attendance.
How often can I steam?
For best results with vaginal steaming, it is recommended to steam weekly and/or three times before and three times after your period.
